Sex and Second Life

GONE WITH THE WIND… Not really

There will be times in your life -specially in your second life if you are part of a family centered on the bloodlines system- when people you have loved, helped, friended and trusted will have a change of whim and will make every possible effort to leave the comforting bosom of your community to explore a shiniest, newest thing that may appear more appealing.
That’s completely normal and also transfers to RL relationships, specially friendships. At first it may come as a shock but in retrospect you always see it coming, you just don’t want to see it -most call that denial and is completely normal to experience it during the loss process-. Eventually you lick your wounds -metaphorically speaking-, move on and lean on those you have come to trust and know will be there for you no matter what.
But then the strangest thing happens… these people who made such a big effort to leave and felt so uneasy being by your side, start doing something I have come to call “floating”; they start coming to the places you hang out at, bond with your friends and eventually and very carefully approach you again, in a desperate effort to get back into your good graces. I have always failed to see the logic in this slow process of regret, I mean people can be wrong and mend their ways, but honestly, friendships are like a crystal vase: they are shiny and translucent but when shattered, no matter how well you mend it, you will always, always see the cracks.
If you’re gone… stay gone. Moving on doesn’t mean moving backwards retracing your steps, it’s all about moving forward.
An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.”
