About a month ago as I was browsing through facebook, doing my habitual group spam / advertising I stumbled upon a post that caught my eye by the very polite and lovely Marsha Warwillow, editor in chief of SLGoth magazine where she was announcing a contest to pick the cover for their upcoming January issue, the theme was Gothic / Time and something inside my head immediately switched on, as it sometimes happens with photographers, we get an idea or concept inside our head and pretty much like an itch you can’t scratch, you have to see it to fruition or it will bother you until you do.
So I rushed to contact her about getting details on the afore mentioned contest and took it from there, dragging my ever faithful right hand and SL brother Ralphie into posing with me and played around on the post editing with the idea and concept I had in mind -having to censor the picture once after it was finished since it was too graphic for a cover photo, and yes I must admit it was bordering a few red flags-
Given the amount of talented photographers that submitted their pictures, I am both flattered and humbled by having been featured as their cover and truly could not wait to share the news with all of you. SLGoth magazine has been a grid wide release since its first edition in 2009 and hopefully will see many more years to come with some very proactive collaboration from me -either in writing or with pictures-
If you want to get the full scoop of this edition you can do so here, or you can drop by the slGoth’s office which is located in Snow Crash courtesy of Morphe, Inc. and get your own copy, which comes with a few gifts and useful LMs of anything SL gothic.
