Chapter VII – Silvia

Joey was instantly transfixed by a very vivid vision laid out in front of him as Laurent placed his right hand gently on his head, the walls around him slowly transforming into a street where he could see his mother, wearing a silky red dress, her hair flowing with the wind and the sun gently caressing her cheekbones, she looked exactly the same as the day she had died, when Joey was only sixteen.

Silvia Casale was a very attractive woman of Italian origins, born and raised in a small rural village just outside Palermo, who quickly rushed to the New world in the late 60s, looking for a better life. Silvia much like her son Joseph was granted not only beauty, but that magnetism and allure which immediately made you feel glad to be around her.

That fateful day Lucas had come to see Joseph shortly after ditching school, to see what sort of trouble they could get into that day, only to find Silvia making her way to their front porch back from the baker’s.

“Aren’t you supposed to be at school? Joey certainly is” Silvia beckoned as she pointed at him with the baguette she was carrying

“We were gonna do stuff today… I guess he forgot” Lucas responded shuffling his feet looking down, not meeting her gaze

“At least come in and I’ll fix you breakfast” Silvia added chuckling as she opened the door.

They both made their way into the kitchen, where Lucas sat down as Silvia paced around the kitchen getting everything ready to make Lucas a sub. He looked at her as she bent over the kitchen counter, her supple breasts beckoning him as she masterfully sliced the baguette open with a knife.

“Let me help you with that” said Lucas with a raspy voice, barely able to hide his hard-on, made worse as he made his move approaching her; Silvia quickly pushed him aside horrified, shoving him against the cooker.

“No, just no” added Silvia swinging the knife as she said this “do you even have an idea what you are trying to do and how wrong that is?”

“Is not like anyone will find out” said Lucas quickly adjusting his bulge then proceeding to force himself on her, she’d change her mind quickly, they all did in the end, or so he thought, she had a reputation for being easy anyhow.

As he put his arms around her, the knife she was holding in her hands was slowly inserted in her chest, accompanied by a short gasp from her lips that was suddenly silenced by copious amount of blood, Lucas let go of her looking at the blood on his hands, horrified.

“Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck” was all he managed to say as he turned to the kitchen sink rushing to wash the blood trying to leave no visible trace on himself.

Laurent let go of Joey and the vision dissipated amidst a thin fog, only to show yet again Lucas hanging on the wall behind them fighting for his life and Laurent just standing in front of him, holding his scythe with a satisfied grin on his face.

“To this day everyone believed it had been your father the one who murdered her, now you know the truth” added Laurent while staring at Joey, kneeling in front of him, tears running down his cheeks

“It can’t be, it’s impossible” was all Joey managed to say as he shook his head still sobbing in disbelief

“All you have to do to make this all go away is take this Scythe and end his suffering, then we can have a long chat and discuss putting those skills of yours to good use” stated Laurent as he offered the Scythe to Joey.
